Towards the end of January, I participated in my first trade show of the year. If you're not familiar with the term trade show, it's pretty much a show where stores and retail buyers shop your items for their stores. When I jumped into offering MCreativeJ kits wholesale a few years ago, I got a crash course in learning what this meant and all the things that came with figuring out how to get other shops to carry my products.
Fast forward to January 2023, I participated in a three-day trade show with Urban Craft Uprising called the Handmade Gift Show. Not having participated in a local trade show before, I tried to reasonably set my expectations. And WOW, were they blown out of the water!
Going into the show, I was hoping that five stores would be interested in carrying MCreativeJ. After the first day, FIVE stores placed orders! By the end of the show, 13 stores from Washington, Oregon, California, and Ohio had all decided to carrying my kits and patterns.
To say I was floored was an understatement.
