Behind the scenes for the past month or so, I’ve had the opportunity to create a very special embroidery kit. I’m pleased to finally be able to share all about it! I was approached by a volunteer, Kelly, about an idea for a Cocktails & Crafting fundraiser for Buzzy’s Bees, a nonprofit organization that supports families who have unexpectedly lost a young child. Kelly had seen some of my embroidery kits at Monster in Ballard and hoped that I could provide a bee themed design, for their fundraiser event. I loved the idea and was more than happy to help create something special for their organization craft night.
For their April 29 virtual community crafting event, supporters are invited to BYO project or purchase the exclusive Bee + Flower embroidery kit designed by me! I'll be leading an intro workshop at 6pm to help everyone get started with their project. I can't wait to introduce new crafters to embroidery with this custom kit. Each custom kit is $40, which includes: printed instructions, wooden embroidery hoop, embroidery needle, full skeins of embroidery thread, fabric, a transfer pattern, and backing materials to finish the design in the hoop. Shipping within the USA is also included. Please order your embroidery kit by Thursday, April 15th.
After our hour of structured crafting, the Cocktails and Crafting event will start. Everyone is encouraged to gather socially, possibly pour themselves a drink, and share their projects and progress.
If you live in Seattle, you can purchase a cocktail kit for pickup from Baker's in Ballard. The cocktail kit includes some delicious drinks and handmade cloth napkins from Buzzy’s. (Sadly, shipping cocktails is prohibited, so you'll need to live in the Seattle area to order and collect your cocktails from Buzzy’s. Cocktail collection will be at an outdoor location with pickup windows to be announced to registrants via email.)
Cocktails and Crafting is one event in a 10 day series of fundraisers with a goal of raising $10K for Buzzy's Bees. All event proceeds benefit families who have unexpectedly lost a young child.
