5 Ways to Embroider Your Life: Holding On To That Summer Feeling

Updated: Oct 11, 2022

Here in the Pacific Northwest it feels like fall is just around the corner. I've been digging my cozy sweaters out of the closet and actually had hot cocoa earlier this week. While I love the comfy feeling of fall, I will also miss the warm sunshine and bright colors of summer. This week's 5 Ways to Embroider Your Life captures a those last feelings of summer and all it's warm, colorful, happiness.

These Flower Embroidered Hats by By Adeline are quirky and cute. While they're perfect for summer, I could see these as a year round wear.

To me, nothing says summer more than tie-dye. Those fun funky colors evoke warm summer days and playfulness. Keep the summer vibes going all year round with these delightful tie-dye macrame designs from The Larks Head.

My friend and fellow embroidery artist Carrie Goff creates these gorgeously detailed succulent needleminders. I love how the succulent petals just pop out at you and her color choices are delightful.

Flowers, sunshine, and butterflies make for a gorgeous summer day. This detailed butterfly pattern by Emillie Ferris shares how to create a monarch butterfly through thread painting.

And of course, how could you not think flowers when summer comes to mind? These Wildflower Peel Stick and Stitch patterns make adding embroidery to anything easy. Just stick, stitch, and then wash the patterns away.
