Celebrate National Embroidery Month With A Virtual Workshop!
Did you know that February is National Embroidery month? Let's celebrate this mindful relaxing craft by stitching all the things. From tropical plants to rainbows, desert pins to lettering, there are so many workshops for you to take to get stitching and celebrate embroidery.
Tropical Plants on February 9 from 6:30-8:30pm with Monster
Even though we can't travel somewhere tropical, we can still stitch vibrant tropical plants. Create your own tropical plants embroidery while learning up to 7 different embroidery stitches and an easy design transfer method. All materials will be provided for a relaxing two hours of crafting fun. Whether you're an embroidery newbie or a stitching pro, you're sure to learn new stitches, techniques, and tips! Pre-registration is required by 2/2 to allow time for us to mail your kit.
Rainbow Pennant on February 11 from 6:30-8:30pm with Spacecraft
You can stitch with the colors of the rainbow! Learn embroidery basics as we create a whimsical rainbow in this online embroidery workshop. This two-hour, hands-on workshop covers a variety of beginner-friendly embroidery stitches and each attendee will receive a full workshop kit. Kits are mailed to you and include: a wooden embroidery hoop, a rainbow transfer design, an embroidery needle, full skeins of embroidery thread, a cream cotton fabric pennant, a wooden dowel, and printed instructions. A recording of the workshop will be available after class. Register by February 4th to join in the stitching fun!
Blooming Wildflowers on February 19 from 6-8pm with Wyldwood Creative
Let’s create whimsical wildflowers! Learn to embroider a playful bunch of wildflowers in this online embroidery workshop. This two-hour, hands-on workshop covers a variety of beginner-friendly embroidery stitches and each attendee will receive a full kit. Kits are mailed to you and include: a wooden embroidery hoop, transfer design, sewing pins, an embroidery needle, full skeins of embroidery thread, a cream cotton fabric, backing materials, and printed instructions. Please register by February 12 to ensure your workshop kit arrives in time for this workshop.
Embroidered Lettering on February 20 from 6:30-8:30pm with Monster
Want to add a cute phrase or snarky saying to your embroidery? Join us for a two-hour, hands-on virtual workshop. We'll cover 5 different beginner-friendly embroidery stitches that are great for stitching lettering, along with tips and tricks to stitch your favorite phrases. Each attendee will receive a full kit for this online workshop. Kits are mailed to you and include: wooden embroidery hoop, embroidery needle, full skeins of embroidery thread, surprise cotton fabric, transfer pen, and printed instructions. A recording of the workshop will be available after class. The class will take place over Zoom on 2/20 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Register by 2/13.
Desert Landscape Pins on February 25 & 27 with the Virtual Sewing & Stitchery Expo
Wear your flair! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to stitch your own hand-embroidered pin. Choose from a variety of pin sizes and designs to create your own piece of wearable art. Each pin will use three basic embroidery stitches to create a delightful desert landscape design. Class kits are sold separately from the Expo entrance fee. Register here.
Rainbow Stitch on February 25 & 27 at the Virtual Sewing & Stitchery Expo
Learn the basics of hand embroidery to create a whimsical rainbow. In this hands-on embroidery basics class, you’ll learn three basic embroidery stitches. Ages 10+ recommended unless assisted at home by an adult. Class kits are sold separately from the Expo entrance fee. Register here.

Want to learn how to paint with thread? Learn how to create an ombre cactus with a 3-D flower in this hands-on embroidery class.
