What is Stumpwork?

Stumpwork is hand embroidery that uses wire and padding to create 3-dimensional elements. Our collaboration stumpwork embroidery kit will teach you how to get started with stumpwork and create a 3D pansy with a leaf.

How to Participate in the Stitch Along

During the month of March you can join us for the stitch along. We're kicking off the month with a podcast episode by Handmade History Podcast all about stumpwork embroidery.


Each week we'll be sharing a YouTube stitch video showcasing part of the wild pansy stumpwork pattern and how to create it. Tune in every Monday to stitch along with us.


We'll be sharing our progress on our Instagram stories and in our social posts. You can share your stitch along progress on Instagram by tagging @mcreativej and @handmadehistorypodcast.
