March Pattern Club: Bird of Paradise

Updated: Oct 19, 2020

Happy March and happy National Craft Month! For the March pattern club pattern, I was inspired by my trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. During my week of vacation, I was surrounded by luscious greenery and gorgeous tropical plants. It was pure perfection. From plants with vibrant magenta leaves to giant palms, there was so much to see! I probably took more photos of plants than anything else on the trip.

This month's Pattern Club design, captures the bold colors of tropical plants and invites you to spend time in a warm botanical locale. It's like stitching a vacation in a hoop! When you pick this pattern up, revel in the mental vacation.

Pattern Club members will learn how to use the long and short satin stitch, reverse chain stitch, stem stitch, and satin stitch to create the bird of paradise pattern. Each stitch is detailed in a photo stitch guide and the pattern is outlined with step-by-step written and photo instructions that walk you through the entire process. The pattern is designed for a 5-inch hoop and can be scaled up or down.

To get the March embroidery pattern you can sign up for the Pattern Club for only $10/month or find individual patterns, including January's stained glass landscape pattern, and February's heart prickly pear cactus duo in the Stitch Kits and Patterns section of my shop. All patterns are available as PDF downloads.
