By now you probably know cacti are some of my favorite things. They're the fruit of the desert. They're prickly yet delicate. They're hardy yet temperamental. They're a lot of things I feel like I can relate too, most of all, sun loving.
I love them so much, I planted some in my front yard, back yard, and have them as houseplants. Clearly I'm obsessed! And for the first time ever, one of my cacti bloomed (Yes, I did a happy dance!)
And while I've never been the best at keeping cacti alive (don't tell that to the prickly pears I planted...) When stitched, they'll stay green and blooming forever.
The excitement of having one of my own cacti bloom, inspired me to create a hand embroidery kit featuring a blooming cactus. Great for beginners and seasoned stitchers alike, the Flowering Cactus hand embroidery kit includes a 5-inch high quality beechwood embroidery hoop, ice peach Kona cotton fabric, full skeins of DMC embroidery thread, a needle, a water soluble transfer pattern, backing materials to finish your design in the hoop, and detailed written and photo instructions to guide you through the process of setting up your hoop, creating each stitch, and finishing the design in the hoop.
Find the Flowering Cactus embroidery kit on my website here. Happy stitching!
