Birding for Beginners: Bird Embroidery Kits and Patterns

I don't know about y'all, but I am definitely getting into the "birding is a new hobby" era of my life. I've downloaded the Merlin Bird ID app, I am looking up into the trees while taking my daily walks, and I am even making birding dates with friends. Instead of lamenting this change (I definitely made fun of my dad when he started birding in middle age), I am leaning way in, and luckily, we here at MCreativeJ headquarters have a whole slew of new bird embroidery kits and stick and stitch patterns to support this newfound love of birding. My big question: would stitching these up count as a bird sighting on the Merlin app?
This month, we debuted 3 new kits, in 3 different skill levels, celebrating our feathered friends. For our beginner embroidery buffs, we've got our Spring Robin, which is absolutely perfect, as a Robin is such a ubiquitous bird and the perfect beginner birder bird as well.
If you're looking for a more challenging bird, we have an intermediate kit, which is a bird that is coincidentally a wee bit more difficult to find, Bluejay in the Woods.
And, if you're looking for a challenge, both in embroidery and in bird watching, we have Busy Woodpecker, full of 3D elements. This bird that takes patience and quietude to catch in the act when birding.
If you'd rather add a bit of pizazz to a garment, bag, or simply just put a bird on it, we recently released a bird-centric Stick and Stitch set: Odd Birds, maybe the most adorable set of Stick and Stitches that we've made yet...
I'll definitely be listening and looking for birds on my walk today. The joy of identifying a bird, the challenge of being still and listening for the different bird calls, and the act of doing something both physically and mentally active is such a gift. And that buzz when you hear/see a bird that you haven't heard or seen before? Pretty priceless! Kind of like the feeling you get when you start a new embroidery project and just can't put it down.
Join me in my newfound hobby, and be sure to pick up one of our bird-centric kits or stick and stitch packs, so you can reflect on your bird list as you stitch a feathered friend.
